Boots Ireland Announces the Opening of New Store in Knocknacarra, Co Galway

Boots Ireland is proud to announce the opening of its new store in Knocknacarra, Co. Galway. As part of Boots continued investment into the growth and expansion of stores around the country, the new store in Knocknacarra brings the number of stores in Galway to three and 89 in total across the Republic of Ireland.
The store will employ 16 people in the locality and is an impressive 478m2 with free car parking available for Boots customers at Gateway Shopping Park. The space will facilitate a wide range of beauty, health and wellness products, as well as a full pharmacy service.
Customers visiting the new store will have access to a wide range of pharmacy services, including prescription service, blood pressure monitor, compression hosiery, flu vaccination, travel vaccination, emergency contraception, healthy heart support, Medisure, Pneumococcal vaccination, shingles vaccination and hearing care service.
At this unprecedented time, Boots Ireland recognises its role as a valuable resource for patients and customers who are seeking support, reassurance and information. The health and safety of customers, patients and colleagues remains the highest priority and the Boots Knocknacarra team have worked incredibly hard to ensure that the store and pharmacy is the safest place for customers to shop, in line with government guidelines.
Safety measures, include a queueing system to control the number of people in the store at any one time and clear signage throughout the store to help maintain social distancing. Every purchase made in the store will be done in the safest way possible, with Perspex screens for counters, tills and self-checkouts. Contactless payments are encouraged, and customers will be able to avail of the Boots Order and Collect service for ease and convenience. All colleagues have access to the PPE they need to ensure they are safe to serve customers.
Commenting on the store opening, Store Manager David Boyce said: “We are delighted to open the doors to our new Boots Ireland store in Knocknacarra. The new store will provide local residents with access to our wide range of pharmacy, health and beauty products and services and we look forward to welcoming them to the store in the near future.”
The store at Unit 13 Gateway Shopping Park, Knocknacarra, Galway will operate with the following opening hours:
- 9am-7pm: Monday- Wednesday
- 9am-8pm: Thursday & Friday
- 9am-7pm: Saturday
- 12pm-6pm: Sunday
